Photo Manipulation & Ethics A-The main points I read in the article were that first off any slight adjustment made a photo is considered photo manipulation or editing. Secondly, editing and photoshopping dates back to1800s. This increase photoshopping and manipulation creates doubt in people's minds on whether or not they can believe any photo they see. This picture speaks to me because for many years I have dealt with my public image and how it always bothered me, so the bleeding heels send a message of "beauty is pain"which means that as public beauty standards increase throughout the years, the more people will feel the need to work harder on themselves to satisfy other people. This picture was taken in Beirut, Lebanon. As a proud Lebanese myself, I was actually going on the streets with the rest of the citizens and protesting against the government. During this period of time that is still ongoing, the Lebanese people came in hand and hand and stood up for their rights. Many might see this picture as an act of violence but that is not what it is. The unity Lebanese citizens have is like no other, after many years of struggling economically, financially and environmentally, all Lebanese came together and decided that their voice was meant to be heard.
