Tips:

-Have your subject focus their attention on something unseen and outside the field of view of your camera.

-One way to ensure that your subject captures the attention of the viewer of your portrait is to fill the frame with their face.

-A mirror or some other reflective surface offers an even easier way to take a self-portrait.

Environmental Portrait:

The woman looks very comfortable in her surroundings and seems to know what she is doing.

He seems to be in his elements and is unaffected by the camera and is very comfortable in his environment.

Photography self portrait:

The picture accentuates her inner glow and portrays all her features beautifully.

The black and white in addition to the broken glass give a deeper sort of feel to the photo. The photo has layers of depth, sadness and complexity.

Casual portrait:

This picture is a casual portrait however its simplicity reveals the genuine laughter he has.

This is a casual portrait of Kobe Bryant and in honor of his passing i thought this was a good choice because this picture is not in a basketball setting and yet it seems to touch you because of his serious expression.

I plan on shooting a portrait of my mom because she is and has always ben my absolute rock and I would not know what I would without her especially after all the difficult times I have been having lately. I plan to take the pictures in nature during the day so the sunlight can accentuate her feature and the trees may add to the beauty she already possesses. To make it successful I plan to adjust the settings of the camera to make sure she is the focus of the photo, so that can mirror the way she is the focus of my life.
